The Fujikura specialty fibre splicer FSM-100 series offers a host of innovative technology to address the rapidly expanding splicing needs for factory, manufacturing, laboratory and R&D applications. These models are introduced as “ArcMaster” splicers due to their unique capabilities to control the plasma zone of the fusion arc. These capabilities will revolutionize the way users will splice various types of specialty fibres, LDFs, PMFs and so on.

Lazer Splicer Machine

The LZM-100, LZM-110M/110P and LZM110M/110P+ LAZERMasters are glass processing and splicing systems that use a CO2 laser heat source to perform splicing, adiabatic tapering (to create MFAs or pump combiners), lensing, or other glass shaping operations with glass diameters of 2.3 mm or more. The high resolution optical analysis system works in conjunction with on-board firmware for fully automatic splicing, tapering and other glass shaping processes.

Automatic Preparation Machine

The APM-101 achieves high speed and reliable performance in the preparation of optical fibre before splicing.

Reducing fibre breakage plus the possibility of low quality cleaving results, the APM-101 automatically performs coating stripping, cleaning and cleaving of the optical fibre to improve and streamline operation times.

PCS-100

Polyimide Coating Stripper

Polyimide based optical fibres are now widely used in the oil & gas and medical industries. The polyimide coating has superior heat and chemical resistance to conventional UV curable coating material, but the coating requires additional care to remove. Dangerous chemical stripping using hot sulfuric acid or burning the coating off are common methods to strip the fibre due to the thin coating and strong coating adhesion to the fiber cladding. The PCS-100 (polyimide fiber coating stripper) is the first tool that uses a mechanical stripping method, providing safe, consistent and quick stripping solutions.

HJS-02

Thermal Jacket Stripper

The HJS-02/HJS-02-80 is equipped with a heater, which softens the coating of the fibre for smooth stripping.

There are two types of models, HJS-02 for 125mm cladding diameter, and HJS-02-80 for 80mm cladding diameter.

USC

Ultrasonic Cleaner 

The USC-03 Ultrasonic Cleaner is specially designed for fast and efficient cleaning of the fibre ends before splicing.

Using ethyl alcohol as the cleaning agent, the USC-03 is ideally suited for use in factory and OEM applications where there is a need for efficient cleaning of the fibre before splicing. The USC-03 is dedicated for use with Fujikura's very own FSM-40, 50, 60 and 100 Series fibre holder systems for high tensile strength splicing.

The USC-03 has a built-in timer which can be set from 0 to 99 seconds, is compact in design and is ideal for field use with a weight of just 1 kg. The cleaner incorporates its own 50 KHZ Langevin type vibration unit for fast thorough cleaning. It has a cleaning tank capacity of 24 to 36cc and includes an external AC adapter.

HTS-12

HTS-12

The HTS-12 is designed for stripping single count of silica optical fibre by keeping the stripped fibre's glass surface free from any physical contact.

In order to achieve the above condition, the HTS-12 has a precise linear slide base for stripping action. The fibre is not scuffed by the blade or any other materials when being stripped.

The HTS-12 accepts the FH-40 and FH-100 series Fiber Holder System

Fibre Optic Cleavers

CT-32

CT-32 

The CT-32 is a modified version of our standard cleaver model CT-30. The modifications allow for use of a spacer system that provides for the full range of acceptable cleave lengths for use with our factory fusion splicer models. The CT-32 also allows for a reduced cleave length of 8mm on 900μm jacketed fibres and as short as 3mm on 250μm and 400μm coated fibres. Included with the CT-32 is a 1mm spacer that allows for the recommended cleave lengths for use with our factory fusion splicer models. An optional 2mm spacer can be purchased to expand cleave length options.

CT-38

CT-38

The CT-38 cleaver is designed for cleaving silica fibres with 80μm cladding. Utilizing the same one step design of our popular CT-30 cleaver, the CT-38 is quick, easy, and dependable. The 16 position blade yields 48,000 cleaves by providing for blade height and position adjustments. The cleaver can be used with FH-40,50,60 and 100 series fibre holders or with the optional AD-30A adapter plate for other applications.

CT-101

CT-101

The CT-101 is designed for cleaving silica fibres from 80 to 250 micron cladding. The CT-101 is equipped with a motorized diamond blade that touches the fiber after tension has been applied providing high-strength cleaving capability. 

The diamond blade provides consistent cleaving quality and the cleave length can be modified from 3 to 40 mm.  The cleave angle is adjustable from 0 to 15 degrees. It runs on AC or battery power.

The CT-104 offers high precision cleaving capability - applicable from 80 to 600 μm diameter fibres. CT-104 provides several capabilities, such as a manual clamping system, storage for up to 100 program modes and a blade life of 20,000 fibres with a cladding diameter of 125μm

CT-105 / CT-106

CT-105 offers high precision cleaving capability - applicable from 80 up to 1,250 μm diameter fibres, and can perform both flat and angled cleaves. 

CT-105 provides advanced capabilities; including a programmable automatic clamp function, an angle cleaving function, storage for up to 100 program modes, a blade life of 20,000 fibres with a cladding diameter of 125μm and applicable optical fibre including not only solid glass optical fibres but also microstructured fibres and capillaries.

Fibre Optic Recoaters

FSR-05

The FSR-05 Recoater provides quick, reliable, and consistent recoating performance. A quick exchange mold and injection pump assembly make setup fast and easy. The quick exchange pump assembly also incorporates a unique bubble elimination design that purges air from the acrylate as it is pumped to the mold. Programmable features make creating and storing fiber specific programs a breeze.

FSR-05 is a model which has recoating only without a proof tester. This model is appropriate for manufactures that don’t require constant proof testing after each recoat.

FSR-06 

The FSR-06 Recoater provides quick, reliable, and consistent recoating performance. A quick exchange mold and injection pump assembly make setup fast and easy. The quick exchange pump assembly also incorporates a unique bubble elimination design that purges air from the acrylate as it is pumped to the mold. Programmable features make creating and storing fiber specific programs a breeze. The FSR-6 model also provides a linear proof test funtion for maximum pull strenght of 2.0kgf.

Programmable features make creating and storing fiber specific programs a breeze. The FSR-07 includes a mandrel wrap type proof tester with a maximum force of 10kgf.
